Are your kids interested in hacking? Well, now you can bring them to DefCon, the annual convention for hackers, security researchers, and undercover FBI agents trying to figure out what the hackers are up to.

DefCon Kids, partnered with HacKid, will be its own one-off family event convention for starting hackers and modders. Kids can attend seminars for net training in things like rehashing a program ISOs, dealing with trolls, and how this series of tubes works. There are also real life mods to hatch like food and hair hacking, building medieval catapults, and MakerBots.

There will also be a serious game of Social-Engineer Capture the Flag. Kid teams will run though obstacle course with a combination of password cracking, ciphers, lock picking, and social engineering.

DefCon 19 runs from August 4 to 7 at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
