Using Total User Management
LANDesk’s foray into system, asset and user management is the latest version of its Total User Management suite, which we’ll affectionately call TUM.
The main product is aimed at making it easy to manage endpoint devices – be they PCs, smartphones or tablets – scaling from a just a few devices, to thousands depending how much server hardware you want to throw at it. To do this LANDesk provides three main components in TUM: the Management Suite (client management), Security Suite (anti-virus, anti-malware) and Service Desk (ITIL), the core of which we’ll cover here.
